The PSP Needs More Games? I Have Suggestions…

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s president, David Reeves, is reportedly troubled over the PSP’s low-fat library.

“Hand on heart, would we like more PSP games? Yes, we would. We really would,” Reeves said in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz.

PSP sales have been on the upswing in Japan, where the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII gave the sleek handheld a big lift. Still, compared to what the Nintendo DS has to offer, the PSP is just a titch on the “Bleh” side.

Fear not, Sony! I am more than happy to make suggestions for games that fully deserve the Gift of Life:

Mega Man Powered Up 2

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X2

A translation of Suikoden I and II (C’mooon!)

A Breath of Fire III port that doesn’t load as slowly as the coming of Moshiach.

Unfortunately, from what I heard, Capcom tried to release Suikoden I+II here, and Sony denied it for just being straight ports with no extras. (like Valkyrie Profile got the new intros — plus it looked a lot nicer than Suikoden to begin with).

Guitar Hero? Hahaha, I’ve read somewhere that the DS just came out with an attachment for the title. Maybe Sony will make one for the PSP. Heehee.

Good to know Sony’s still shattering dreams as well as they did in the early days of the PSOne.
