The Ship

And now for something a little unconventional and new. Reading the preview up on Worthplaying you get a general feeling that the game is a Sims FPS. You’re given hits and you have to wander about a cruise ship looking for your target to murder and no one can see you kill that person. There’s inventory management, hunger, and hygiene, so you can see why I included the Sims aspect. They’re using the Source engine meaning you’ll probably see it up on Steam some time soon, though looking at the screenshots it seemed a little bland and cartoony.

The multiplayer somewhat catches my interest on this one. They have the regular de-facto deathmatch and whatnot, but the main component is like the single player, hunt and kill. Or whatever they call it. I’m curious to see how that would play out. A bunch of people join the server, they all get their targets and off they go? Is everyone’s goal someone else? So the last person surviving wins? Not entirely clear, but hopefully they release a demo to help un-muddy the water.

Speaking of release, July 11th 2006 looks to be the date though I don’t think I’d be willing to pay more than $20 for it, unless it was really good.
