This weekend, I bought two things that I never buy: vanilla vodka and pineapple juice.
The vanilla vodka was on a whim and the pineapple juice was because my two year old chunked it in the cart and I didn’t realize it until AFTER I had already paid for it.
Never one to let a good bottle of vodka go to waste, I started looking for cocktails that sounded yummy and included both vanilla vodka and pineapple juice.
After much deliberation, I decided to create a cocktail of my own. I don’t THINK that this is out there but it probably is and IF it is, know that I didn’t know about it and I don’t WANT to know about it since I want to think of myself as all creative and shit.
Also, the name comes from my name – Amy – and the fact that the drink sneaks up on you. You think you’re A-OK and then before you know it, you’re drunk.
The Sneaky Amy
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Stoli Vanilla Vodka
- 2 parts pineapple juice
- ice
- cranberry juice
Directions:
Add your ice, vodka and pineapple juice to a mixer and shake until your hands can’t take it any longer.
Strain into a highball glass and top with cranberry juice.
Enjoy.
