The Supermodel Effect

November 29, 2007 by Jodie Lynn Boduch

Question: Is this woman inspiring?

Answer: Yes, especially to Minnesota Timberwolves guard Marko Jaric, whose recent stats are as smokin’ as his new arm charm, Victoria’s Secret hottie Adriana Lima. Coincidence? His teammates think not.

Two consecutive posts on Brazilian supermodels. Anyone complaining?

*hears crickets*

Yeah, we didn’t think so.

Hmmmm. That post appears to be 50 words long. Too bad the model in your challenge post this week is so much uglier than the model in my Project Blog challenge post this week.

    *Sigh*

Really, either of them can help how they look.

  2. Jodie says:

It’s a tough call between the models, Kate. The camera loves both of them, for sure.

But mine definitely has the better outfit for inspiring professional athletes. . .

  3. Geoff Young says:

Okay, I’ll complain; where’s the third consecutive post on Brazilian supermodels? ;-)

  4. The Bee says:

That is certainly a Yooooooooooo Baby outfit. I wish the supermodel effect was in effect when I played ball in college. But I have a Yoooooooo Baby of my own *wink, wink*

  5. Mark Jabo says:

Wait a minute…my high school coach always told me girls would negatively impact my athletic performance.

    Damn you, Coach MacGillicuddy!

  6. Bacchus says:

WOW, Adriana Lima sure makes me want to dribble my ball the best I can; not to mention court her!

  7. Jodie says:

    Geoff–see the follow-up post.

The Bee–*wink wink* back at you. Here’s to Yoooo Babies! (Psst–my parents and brothers read this, so I can’t get too fresh on the blog).

Mark–Coaches are sneaky like that. They take the fun out of everything. No co-ed locker rooms, either. *Sigh*

Bacchus–Very, very punny! Does that mean she’s make you want to score?

  8. Winnie says:

I would think it would be distracting, but I guess not.

  9. Rachel says:

Hey, we all gotta find inspiration somewhere! Now I need to find a hot college-aged male assistant to bring me margaritas and give me a little eye candy while I work!

Oh, dahling! I think I need another refill.

  10. Bacchus says:

Yes Jodie it makes me want to score with a “jumper” and hit the boards HARD!

  11. Jodie says:

Winnie–Who knew lingerie models could actually improve concentration?

Rachel–Drink up! Get that novel published and you’ll have errand boys lining up at the door.

Bacchus–I thought as much, and “swing it around haaard” came to mind. (Sorry, folks. It’s an inside joke with the Phalanx of Fun).

  12. Caesar says:

My preference is a good old fashion Polish American honey. They speak good English, they are citizens and don’t mind getting paid in US dollars. Vitoria’s Secret needs to check them out. Playboy knew this for years. Great motivators too.

  13. jason says:

Is this some new fad for these supermodels to be dating athletes now instead of movie stars? Why the switch? Adriana Lima is beautiful, but have you ever heard her talk?? She’s got such a low voice..it’s kind of a turn-off…Now if she just never talked maaaaaybe. LOL

  14. Jodie says:

Jason–Thanks for the tip. We’re off to find an audio clip of Adriana Lima to hear what her voice sounds like . . .
