The Transporter (Blu-ray)

The Transporter is the testosterone-driven tale of a courier, who transports anything for anyone, no questions asked … until, of course, he doesn’t.
With a typical, fairly predictable plot, it’s still a ridiculously enjoyable movie. It’s short (a bit more than an hour and a half) and sweet: it gets right to the point.
I watched it in Blu-ray, and I must say that it is a gorgeous Blu-ray disc. The film is crisp with no noticeable artifacts from the transfer. The extra detail that Blu-ray affords you makes gives all of us guys love: wonderful homoerotic shots of Statham’s chest (which he displays many, many times, and even wrestling in oil), ridiculously fast driving, beating the bad guys with round-house kicks. Of course, without a single bruise throughout the entire movie.
I’d almost go with a flat-out “buy” on this one. Definitely rent, especially if you’ve never seen The Transporter.

Is The Transporter 2 also out in Blu-ray?
Yes, it is, and we will no doubt review it in the near future.
