The Yankees Are At It Again

True to form, the Yankees are headed after a big time free agent for big time money. By spring 2009, CC Sabathia could be a Yankee.
Is anyone really surprised?
ESPN reported that the Yankees already made a six-year offer to Sabathia on Nov. 14, the first day free agents could start negotiating money. The proposal exceeds Johan Santana’s $137.5 million, six-year contract with the New York Mets both in total and average, but there has been no public response from Sabathia or his agents.
This move, unlike some past big-time money free agent additions, is actually necessary for the Yankees because they are in need of a solid starting pitcher.
