Hi Gavin, thanks for stopping by Interview Chatter this morning. I do believe that people who desire to lead others can develop the skill. I also believe that we should be looking for more and more people to lead organizations rather than managing people and processes. Unfortunately, I believe leadership has diminished over the last few years, but I am hopeful with the next generation, if we (leaders in this generation) will mentor them.

It used ot be thought that leadership was a trait rather than a skill. This is a great summary that shows it is easily possible to develop the skills that can allow us all to become leaders.

Thanks for sharing these. I think there’s more to be said about these topics, and I think you could write a book on just these 10 things and how you’ve seen them displayed, or not displayed, in the leaders you’ve worked with.
