This video is not a Fable… 2.

Several weeks ago, I stumbled across some news about the up and coming sequel to Fable by Lionhead Studios. And yes… I know, it’s not technically an adventure game, but you go on adventures, which are cool! The name of the sequel? Well, it’s Fable 2 which I think is appropriately titled, quite frankly. Now, I was a big fan of Fable when it first came out and played it exhaustively until… well, I beat the darn thing. Now, for me, this is a huge task. I’m a game starter… not a game finisher, unless it is an adventure game. Adventure games are generally short and sweet and constantly hold my interest, where most other game genres don’t.

The premise of the game is a simple one. You have tasks you must fulfill, but throughout your journey, you must make the decision to either take the good path or the bad path. Which path you take on your character’s life is reflected in how other people see you… literally. If you choose the path of good, as your character ages, you take on some angel like qualities. I mean, really… You get a halo and everything. If you are bad, however, you might just grow a couple of horns, which is pretty awesome.

The video I found wasn’t on YouTube yet, so I threw it up on there, just so my brother could watch it. I’ve gotten several comments on it and figured that it must be pretty popular, as I’ve never gotten a comment on any of the videos I’ve posted before. So, I thought you guys would all enjoy seeing it.

What’s cool about Fable 2 is the Emotion technology that they’ve put into the game. The Lionhead team is hoping that they put enough into the game that you, as a player, will become emotionally involved with the character you have created. It’s hard to explain everything they’ve put into the emotional aspect of the game, so here… take a look at it:

The game should be out sometime early 2008… at least that’s what I’m hoping!
