Thanks to Cory for bringing this book to my attention. It sounds like the book talks about various things that I believe may be interesting to discuss on this blog. The sub-title for Friedman’s book is “A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century”.
The World Is Flat is Thomas L. Friedman’s account of the great changes taking place in our time, as lightning-swift advances in technology and communications put people all over the globe in touch as never before-creating an explosion of wealth in India and China, and challenging the rest of us to run even faster just to stay in place.
What do you think? Has anyone read this book already? I’d love to hear your thoughts and insights from what you’ve learned from reading the book, or maybe how the book has caused you to change your opinions and stance on a subject. I think I may need to order this book from my brother and see what it’s all about.
