Threat Vectors from Microsoft

Microsoft Malware Protection Center has released their threat vector analysis where the top threats are the following:

1. Microsoft Word

2. Microsoft Excel

3. Adobe Reader PDF files

The study is based on July to December 2008 research. Biggest threats include:

• Rogue security software
• Second half of 2008 was the more serious time for threats
• Applications is the biggest target
• 67% more security bulletins than in the first half of 2008.

Make sure you upgrade your latest anti-virus and computer protection. Don’t take chances and get only the best. It is cheaper to be safe than sorry.
