Three Last-Minute Christmas Gifts for that College Footbal Fan in Your Life

Christmas is coming…are you ready? What’s that you say? No?
Why am I not surprised. Slackers.
I can’t help you find that perfect gift of your girlfriend (although, jewelry is always nice) or your mother (chocolates?) or your Aunt Erma (hell, she won’t remember what you got her anyway…), but what I can help you do is pick out that perfect present for the college football fan on your list.
What are my credentials for dishing advice on this? Um…I’m a college football fan – and these are all gifts that I’d LOVE to receive:

1. The Footbal Party Chips and Queso Serving Set, $24.99 from HomeWetBar.com
What football fan doesn’t like chips and dip during a big game? The fan on your list likely has some bowls coming up, so dish out the dough for this great party set. Of course, if you’re not willing to pay for next-day shipping, you can also head to any department store and pick up something similar. It doesn’t have to be football-shaped. There are tons of fondu pots and other such kitchen swag that will make football fans – especially female football fans – smile.

2. Illuminated Yard Garb, $28.76 from Walmart
What football fan doesn’t like to show off a little school pride? These helmets are cute enough that any non-football fan in the house will have a hard time disapproving. Don’t worry – they are available for all teams, not just for Michigan! Your local Walmart should have some in stock, but call ahead to find out about team availability. You can always order online at Walmart.com if you can’t find the right team at the store. Note: BCS Frenzy and b5 Media is not responsible for any bodily injury you may receive due to shopping at Walmart at this time of year.

3. Bowl Matchup Gear, $19.95+ from FootballFanatics.com
At FootballFanatics.com right now, you can still get your order by Christmas Eve for just around $13 in shipping. That’s not bad, man. You can order hats, shirts, jerseys, etc. that have your gift-receiver’s favorite team and the bowl logo or, go the lazy way out - give him or her an IOU for an item AFTER the bowl, since you can then get gear that tells you who the winning team was. The site will have bowl winner-specific items immediately after the games, so you can order and have something tangible by early January.

I didn’t get you any of those things!
