After Tiger Woods finished with a course-record 62 on Saturday, the BMW Championship was all but over. Entering Sunday with a seven-shot lead, Woods just had to avoid a collapse to take home the victory. As it turned out, his 68 on Sunday was easily enough.
Woods was -19 at the BMW Championship and won it by eight shots over Marc Leishman of Australia and Jim Furyk of the United States. Sean O’Hair, also of the United States, at -10 was the only other golfer to finish within ten shots of Woods.

After the victory, Woods said the difference between this week and recent disappointments was his putting.
“It’s just been a matter of making a couple of putts here and there, and I would have won the tournaments,” remarked Woods. “And lo and behold — boom –I hit the ball just as well, just as consistent this week, and I made a few putts. And that’s how it happens.”
The win netted Woods $1.35 million to add to his ever-growing career earnings.
