While the global economy is still in the recovery process, Timberland isn’t being bashful about their new marketing campaign. In fact, the maker of premium-quality footwear is launching one of the most innovative marketing campaigns of 2009.

To connect with young consumers who live in the city, Timberland is going all out. Including in their marketing campaign are iPhone applications, iPhone games, branded Hulu videos, interactive billboards, customized radio stations on Pandora and reverse sidewalk graffiti. Additionally, Timberland will partner with trendy magazines and blogs.

“This combination of social and digital media,” said Jim Davey of Timberland, “combined with innovative advertising and public relations, creates a meaningful conversation with our young consumers and demonstrates Timberland’s commitment to integrated marketing around the world.”

The marketing campaign will be launched over the next few weeks in the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.

Therasa Palermo of Timberland says that the company has made it a point to go out and find consumers wherever they may be.

Said Palermo: “We are very excited to launch an innovative marketing program that engages young millennial consumers where they are – online, on their phones and out in major cities around the world.”
