TiVo Series3 vs. TiVoHD Showdown, Cue Western Music

Alright partners. This’n beein’ a showdown between the top 2 in this here DVR category, the TiVo Series the and the TiVoHD. Each turns around and steps 10 paces… Wait, that was so pre-20th century. Let’s actually speak English.
EngadgetHD has a writeup comparing the two boxes and helping you out on which one to buy. One thing that the Series3 had over the TiVoHD: shinyness. Reflective remote, brushed metal casing, and an OLED display. Essentially they think (and I agree) that the Series3 isn’t worth the $200 or so premium over the TiVoHD. Another note: their sources are saying that the Series3 box may be discontinued and may merge into the TiVoHD name and become a higher-end model. Click the link below for more comparisons.
