TMNT for 360 is Totally Ninja-fied

My son got the new TMNT game for the Xbox 360 a few months ago and we’ve been playing it quite a bit. So much so that we’ve already beaten the entire game.

However, the improvements to game-play over previous versions (which we own all of) is pretty dramatic. There’s loads more cool moves you can do with each turtle as well as each turtle having their own signature moves.

You can also build-up the opportunity for your turtles to work together and help you work through the obstacles and hurdles that present themselves during the quest for completion.

As seen in the screen shot above, one of your turtle brothers can fly in and help launch you out of your original jump. This lets you make much larger jumps and jump higher in certain situations which obviously has it’s benefits.

The game follows the recent TMNT movie to a T (or is that a TMNT!). As I said, the game play is nice, but I’ve only got two complaints:

  1. I think it’s a loss when two people and maybe even four can’t play at the same time. This is only a one-player game, so my son ended up getting frustrated by himself and just wanted to watch me play the entire game.
  2. It was too easy to work through everything, even the final bosses were too easy once you figured out their patterns.

My preference would be to let more than one-person play at a time, but make the game much harder.

Either way though, it’s a really fun game, but probably worth waiting to pick-up on sale instead of paying the normal $49.99 full price.

Luckily for us, this came as a gift for my son from his Nane (grandmother).

See more screen shots here and get more game details as well.
