Today in PlayStation: December 11, 2008

It’s officially Home day, and I’ll be spending some time later today diving into Sony’s online world. Expect an impressions post soon. That is, if I can muster up the self-control not to pop in LittleBigPlanet and download all of the new costumes this week :)

• This weeks free LittleBigPlanet DLC brings out the Christmas cheer, with an adorable Santa Suit to dress up your little Sackboy. Should go well with the paid Street Fighter costumes that will also be available.
• Resistance 2 fans are in for a treat, as Insomniac is updating the game with a slew of free themes, map packs, and a new trailer.
• The PS3 version of Echochrome is being updated with Trophy support and a bunch of new, user-generated levels.
• Having just released a new version of the PSP, Sony has said it has no plans for a PSP 2 currently in the works.
