Do you know what day it is? C’mon, you didn’t forget did you? Two tears ago today electronic stores across the continent saw lines stretching as far as the eye can see as gamers queued up to purchase a PlayStation 3. That’s right, the PS3 is two years old today, and what an exciting two years it has been. We’ve seen lots of great games and updates, and there is still plenty more to come. But on to the news
- Sony has hit a milestone, as the company revealed that their are currently 14 million active PlayStation Network accounts. Along with that comes 273 million pieces of downloaded content. Whew, all this in just two years!
- In news we’ve heard plenty of times before, LittleBigPlanet could make it to the PSP. Much more interesting are the rumors that Rock Band or Guitar Hero could do the same. I wonder how that would even work.
- If you just can’t wait for the eventual release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, check out this trailer, which shows off all of the awesome, 2D, hand-drawn fighting action, complete with a totally 80’s soundtrack.
- MMO fans take note: Cryptic Studios has plans to bring both Champions Online and Star Trek Online to the PS3.
