Tom Brady – 3 times a charm

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Tom Brady passing

The Doctors had to keep going into Tom Brady’s knee to contain an infection.

While Brady acknowledged on his Web site that he had one arthroscopic procedure done to “clean and to test the wound” last Wednesday, the Herald has learned there have been two additional procedures performed since that time, with the same goal in mind.

According to the source, the fear is the patellar tendon graft used to replace Brady’s anterior cruciate ligament is in danger of becoming compromised. Should that occur, the entire ACL reconstruction would have to be removed and redone from scratch.

That would push back his rehab and recovery period, which in turn, could delay his return to the field.

The Patriots are 1 game behind the Buffalo Bills and have two shots left on the schedule to beat them. New England would love to have Tom Brady back as soon as possible.

I am ill over this. Yes, I am a Pats fan and a bigger Brady fan, but this is about more than that. Brady is the best QB in the game right now, a true joy to watch. Although I have faith in my team, it’s not the same without Brady in there. But more than that, I hate the idea of anyone going through the pain he must be going through right now. His frustration must be at it’s peak with these setbacks, I know he is a huge competitor and wants to get his rehab underway so he can get back out there as soon as possible. I wish TB well, a safe and fast recovery and pray this does not lead to the ACL being rejected and replaced again.

Three surgeries on the same knee? I hope it’s not serious.

I’m not a Pats fan–the Colts are my favs–but I hate to hear of any player having to go through this. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Tom.
