NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest,
Tom Brady throws past Brian Urlacher
Don’t know about you, but this game has all the makings of a championship style game. It is the closest thing to a modern day NFL Football dynasty in the Patriots against the defense of the ages in the Bears.
The Patriots rely on the passing of Tom Brady, a quarterback that can make quick decisions and accurate throws. Chicago relies on a defense led by a monster called Brian Urlacher. He makes plays everywhere, but if you ask him, Brian will tell you he is just lucky.
Tom has something to prove
Tom has had problems the last two years against the so called elite teams, losing to Indy twice and Denver twice. No shame in that, but don’t tell Tom Brady there is no shame. He feels he has something to prove.
Brian Urlacher does not need Tom to prove anything. Brian thinks he is a great quarterback and expects him to have a great game. Typically if Brady loses, he will work twice as hard until he wins again. Both of these guys are headed to the Hall of Fame.
Rex the Chameleon
Lost in all this mess is the chameleon, Rex Grossman. Which Rex will show up? If Brady is stifled by the Bears defense will Rex be able to produce for the Bears offense? From week to week you just never know with this guy. He takes a lot of risks and is a young quarterback, still learning on the job. (Squibster full disclosure – Rex is riding the pine on my Fantasy Football team)
Make it the Bears by a Robbie Gould field goal. (Squibster full disclosure – Gould is my fantasy kicker and leads the league)
Be sure to vote in this week’s poll on the right sidebar to pick the winner of the Pats vs. Bears.
NFL Football Fan Question Who will decide this game? Will it be Brian Urlacher, Tom Brady, or the up and down Rex Grossman?
As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.
