Tom Brady – Mid-Season Best NFL Players

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Devin Hester is scaring teams

Devin HesterAll Mid-Season? Doesn’t sound too impressive, does it. Kind of like all Southwestern County Catholics or some other hybrid.

But, none the less, Yahoo decided to grade out the most talented players at the mid point of the season and Tom Brady is the Quarterback.

Is there any doubt? With 33 touchdowns, four interceptions, a 73.2 completion percentage and a 131.8 quarterback rating, Brady is well on his way to the greatest quarterback season in history. Like the difference between the Patriots and the rest of the NFL, Brady is light years ahead of other quarterbacks this season. source

The runner up was a bit of a surprise – Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ben has a high quarterback rating of 111.9, but seems like Favre, Romo, and Anderson are all having better seasons.

At Running back is Adrian Peterson a real no brainer. Adrian is having more than just that one great game.

He already owns the NFL’s single-game rushing mark with 296 yards against San Diego. And with 1,036 yards through eight games, he’s on pace to shatter Eric Dickerson’s rookie rushing mark of 1,808 yards. What’s most amazing: He’s averaging an eyelash under 20 carries per game.

The runner up is Bryant Westbrook. Not a bad pick with this do it all back, but your intrepid author may have went with Joseph Addai and his 4.7 yard per carry average.

A few weeks ago this would have been the surprising Ronnie Brown of the Dolphins, before his season ending injury.

Won’t ruin all the rest of the picks for you, just wanted to point out Defensive End Aaron Kampman, on pace for 18 sacks and Punt Returner Devin Hester, who just plain scares other teams into punting out of bounds.

It is a great list where some NFL players like Tom Brady are on pace for record breaking seasons.
