Tony Romo in College

This weekend is thought by many to be the most exciting weekend in football. Of course, there aren’t any college games going on – it is all about the NFL playoffs. (*Insert debate about college ball needing a playoff system here*) I thought it would be fun to look back on the top 8 teams’ quarterbacks. What were they like in college?

Tony Romo, Cowboys
Romo attended Eastern Illinois University, and although he won a number of awards and was second in Div I-AA in passing efficiency, he went unnoticed in the draft. He was the first Eastern Illinois University play to win the Walter Payton Award, but was passed up although the Cowboys showed interest. Following the draft, he signed with them as a free agent.
