Tony Romo is a romomatic touchdown machine

Touchdown Tony?
As wild as it seems, Tony Romo has arrived in the NFL.
A few weeks ago we were all debating about the choice to bench Drew Bledsoe and put in Tony Romo. The common knowledge was that Romo was not as good, but maybe had a higher ceiling.
Bledsoe had given all he had and it was not enough, so play Romo and see if he can improve and carry Dallas to the promised land.
Well, your intrepid author is here to tell you that Romo has certainly improved. He threw 5 touchdowns today beating Tampa Bay 38 – 10. He did it and made it look easy. Ok, you are right, Tampa Bay is not exactly Indy or New England, but 5 touchdown passes is 5 touchdown passes.
Here is the surprising part; Tony Romo will most likely pass Peyton Manning this week as the NFL’s top rated passer.
Now just in case you have not joined the Romo Bandwagon, then there is one more important point to look at and this may convince you. Cowboys have the Giants, Saints, Falcons, Eagles, and Lions left on their schedule.
Detroit, Atlanta, and New York all have weak pass defenses, while New Orleans and Philly are pretty good. Romo should feast on the Lions, Falcons, and Giants and oddly New Orleans has given up a lot of touchdowns.
Tony should have no problem finding someone to throw to with Terry Glenn and Terrell Owens lining up at wideouts. Seems to me the great debate is over and Tony is here to stay.
During the pregame, Jerry Jones was saying that Tony’s play has made Dallas so much more exciting that the Big Tuna may stay and coach another year.
NFL Football Fan Question What do you think? Had Tony arrived? Will Dallas make the playoffs and do some damage?
As always, any NFL Football related comments are welcome.
