Top 10 Allergy Capitals

I’m one of the lucky members of my family that doesn’t suffer much from seasonal allergies. My mother has a lot of allergies as does my sister. My brother gets seasonal allergies in the spring as most people do. My eyes itch a little bit in the spring, especially when I cut grass but other than that I don’t have other allergies of natural things.

Some people have terrible allergies in the spring time when the pollen is at it’s thickest and some cities have higher allergen levels that others. MSNHealth.com in association with Health Day has published a list of the top Allergy Capitals of America. Here is the list of the top 10 for spring time allergies, in no particular order, except the number 1 city.

- Knoxville, Tenn.
- Charlotte, N.C.
- Madison, Wis.
- Wichita, Kan.
- McAllen, Texas
- Greensboro, N.C.
- Dayton, Ohio
- Little Rock, Ark
- Augusta, Ga.
The list, released Wednesday, is based on the impact that key environmental and medical factors have on people with allergies. The rankings are published annually to help allergy sufferers recognize, prevent and treat symptoms.
The Allergy Capitals is published by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (www.aafa.org), not by MSN or HealthDay…they just did a news story about the list.
They still published the list of 10 and I was crediting my source, thank you.
it seems like with my allergies the Allergy Capital is any city that i go to.
