Top 5 Innovative Companies

BusinessWeek has published the list of “The 50 Most Innovative Companies”, which is pretty good and has some information to learn from. I’ll give you the top 5 now, and the bottom 5 later.

Top 5 Innovative Companies:

  1. Apple. No wonder here, they’ve become a staple brand for innovation, and they really do deserve it.appletv They’re ‘out-of-the-box’ thinkers, especially when everyone in the industry was thinking way in the box.
  2. Google. They have achieved many great things, within them these two: effective advertising, and product development. They dedicate 20% of their engineers’ time in new product development. That’s impressive.
  3. Toyota Motor. Not a brand I would think would be included, but if you really think of the product they’ve launched they are quite innovative. Their hybrid plug-in electric car model is now being copied worldwide by other auto makers.
  4. GE. They have lead the way for many other companies in researching and introducing products into emerging markets. As well, their green tech research is among the top-regarded and recognized in the world.
  5. Microsoft. Yes, the old PC giant made it to the top 5 list. Although they might no longer be regarded as the pioneer in the industry from a consumer perspective, they have perhaps the largest R&D department and budget in the computer industry.
