5. Brenda Warner Continually Being Shown on the Broadcast
It was totally surprising that Brenda Warner, Kurt Warner’s wife, was shown continually on the Super Bowl broadcast. Actually, no it wasn’t. No it wasn’t, at all. For some reason, whenever Kurt Warner’s name is brought up, the obligatory Brenda Warner camera shot isn’t too far away.
4. Troy Polamalu Appearing in the Coke Zero Commercial
Many people picked Troy Polamalu as the most likely to win the Super Bowl MVP. Not only did he not win the MVP, he was downright invisible. His most prominent moment was when he ripped the shirt off of that Coke Zero guy. Otherwise, Polamalu was busy missing tackles and giving up touchdowns.
3. Ben Roethlisberger Not Choking
Anyone who watched Ben Roethlisberger in his first Super Bowl likely thought the game was over after the long Larry Fitzgerald touchdown. Big Ben hadn’t exactly been known for his Super Bowl poise up until that point, however he deserves credit for coming up Big when it counted the most.
2. The Cardinals Defense Playing Well
During the regular season, the Cardinals defense was horrible. Even in the playoffs, they weren’t overly impressive. However, during the Super Bowl, Arizona’s defense was actually dominant at times. If the Cardinals had won the game, they had their defense to thank.
1. Santonio Holmes Catching the Pass
Santonio Holmes is known for his speed and his playmaking ability in the open field. What he’s not known for is having great hands. On that final play, he made one of the most impressive catches in the history of the Super Bowl. In his post-game celebration, let’s be thankful that Holmes kept his clothes on. Unlike that one time in the shower.
