Top Otaku Blogger Quits Microsoft Japan

With its otaku culture and linguistic near-domination of the blogosphere, Japan is a treasure trove of social media. That’s why I wasn’t surprised when, in a move echoing Scoble’s, top English otaku blogger Danny Choo announced his resignation from Microsoft Japan. He’s forming a CGM and SEO solutions company, Mirai (Japanese for future).
As an avowed otaku myself, and as a witness to otaku CGM capabilities, I’m a huge fan of Danny’s work. If Danny’s eponymous mascot is any indication, Mirai will be a company to watch in a country to watch.
Microsoft should watch out. It’s bleeding clue all over the world.
