Joe Torre – The Yankee Years and A-Fraud

Joe Torre has a new book coming out in the beginning of February that is called “The Yankee Years” in which he supposedly gives the dirt on his days with the Yankees. Reportedly, there’s talk in the book about how Alex Rodriguez’s teammates called him A-Fraud and how Rodriguez has an intense rivalry with teammate Derek Jeter.
While the book is undoubtedly going to be interesting, Joe Torre going public with the inside scoop of the clubhouse is a low blow. For a manager with so much respect around the league, it’s a surprise that he’s breaking one of the unwritten rules that what happens in the clubhouse stays in the clubhouse.
What kind of trust will his Los Angeles Dodgers players have in him? It’s only human nature that the players will have to wonder whether what they do in the clubhouse will make Torre’s next book.
All in all, “The Yankee Years” is going to simply be a money grab for Torre. It’s a disgrace to Torre’s legacy and is unfair to the Yankees that went to war with him over the years.
You’re better than that, Joe Torre.

Well I disagree that the Dodger players will now start to distrust Torre. We all know Torre as a classy manager who is good for baseball. The Yankees had this coming to them for being the arrogant team they are in thinking they could just buy some of the best players in baseball and expect to win a championship. They don’t care to look at the fact that when you put that many egos in one locker room there will be friction. A-Rod is a fraud and the reason why he has yet to win a WS. I hope they go down in smoke once again this year and it’s good to see that Torre has the balls to put all of this in ink.
