Toshiba to Kill HD-DVD (Officially)

A Reuters report has said that Toshiba is planning to shut down all hopes of HD-DVD and give way to Blu-Ray. This was mentioned to Reuters by a “company source,” a.k.a. an internal employee or the like. The saga gets sadder for Toshiba, saying that they will lose “hundreds of millions of dollars” to stop the HD-DVD project altogether. Although, it’s not like they haven’t lost on the massive price-cuts on the HD-DVD Players. We’re just waiting for that press release. I say it comes out Tuesday, February 19th. Anybody else?
