moldy_room.jpgRemember the lady that shared her Toxic Mold story with us back in December? Here is an update. If your a victim of toxic mold and would like to help please contact her and see what you can do to help. Here is a poem she wrote:

From Annie Van Egdom:

“This poem is one I wrote after sharing our family’s story. I have hit every brick wall and been unheard by the Canadian government and the city. I will be opening a website soon and also, I will be doing some protests possibly in Downtown Vancouver BC and the City of Surrey in the spring. If you are a victim and would like to join me in this I would love to support and be supported. bearsrfun@nctv.com

Below I posted a poem I wrote recently and want to share and have passed on to others. Thank you for your time again!”

Questions To The City??

When at last your day has ended and your job is all complete
Do you go home with a skip in your step as you relax and have a seat?

Was your goal to make money no matter what the cost?
Did you stop and think of what you gained and then what others lost?

Were your intentions just to get ahead no matter who it hurt?
And did you treat those insignifigant as if they were less than dirt.

Were all your concerns for the money, Oh and what your boss will say?
When he see’s you’ve made the city a killing, and killing is your way!

There’s no regard for human life, only dollar signs you see.
The moms, the dads, the children, how has this come to be?

You run our city’s by greed without consideration for a life
But what can we the people do? It cuts us like a knife.

You make the laws, you break the laws and what can anyone do?
You make yourself untouchable and our defences are so few.

We don’t have the power for legal help or money to fight back
Of this your pleased, we are the prey with all you know we lack.

But once again I ask you how was your day today?
Did you make those many thousands and your head you turned away.

Away from all the havoc and the damage that you created.
Instead of feeling remorse and shame you walked away elated.

Away from the hurts of the many lives destroyed as you reached your goal.
Your negligence, your dishonesty on many lives it takes it’s toll.

The homes, the schools, the workplace, the many places that we dwell.
Were faced with all these poisons and our lives become a hell.

So when you go home this evening to your family waiting there-
When you see your child smiling, see my family if you dare.

The child you left hurting, the one you injured deep.
While yours is thriving in health, mine can hardly sleep.

The toxins feel their bodies, their lungs and organs too.
Who knows what all these poisons to their systems it will do.

You call it acceptable for flooding in the heat ducts and crawl space.
If you were walking in our shoes, would this be the case?

Our children now are suffering, there is blood upon your hands.
And who will walk beside this Mom, against the city take a stand.

As I watch and try to ponder for my children what’s in store.
I’m angry at your negligence, our pleas you did ignore.

Pleading for you to step up to the plate and make ammends.
But once again, all you wanted was your dividends.

So while your child is in a warm dry home, mine is struggling for air.
All because you allowed the flooding, because you didn’t care.

My daughter may never have children, who knows what her future holds
Why again? Your negligence, and our home so full of molds.

Many dreams were shattered, many years we sat in all this rubble
You took our money without regard but left us with this trouble.

How could you get away with this for so many, many years.
While you sit there gleaming, you left our hearts in tears.

So now I ask you once again as you look in your spouses eyes.
Do they see you living honest or is your life just one big lie.

You see, for all you took from us, our lives were out of hope.
Our marriage suffered greatly and days were hard to cope.

How about your wife, can she cook and clean and make her children’s day?
As you ponder, remember, the molds that took my children’s mom away.

With their mothers many illnesses, all they knew was a Mom who slept.
So while you and your family smile and play, ours has only wept.

You may be climbing up that ladder all the way to your success.
But remember in your doing so, you leave behind your mess.

And what you sow now today, you will someday reap.
Planted in the seeds of time, your lies grow very deep.

Our heritage our future, these children learn from you.
That if they want to have success, just do as you do.

Will they lead the city’s as you have, what tragedy that will be.
Children will reap in this, your fraud and be the one to pay the fee.

There will be many consequences, of this, I know you’ll see.
What you have done to so many will be your legacy.

Will you still sit there in your easy chair at the end of your day all smiles?
Maybe someday you’ll stand where we have and understand our trials.

When those you love are victims of people just like you.
Tell me then, what will you say and then what will you do?

God forbid another generation suffers at the hands of men like you.
And may one day you stand and face all that you’ve done too.

Thank you all for letting me share my story and poem. I know it was long but I am hoping it was helpful to those of you, like myself have been victims who find yourselves unable to fight against this injustice.
Those of you who have been probably by now are aware of what this does to our bodies. I just wanted to update you and let you know that even though I have got my family out of the toxins we are still under attack physically. The doctor just found two nodules on my thyroid gland and I am being sent to a endocronologist to see what needs to be done. Thyroid disorders and cancer is very much linked to mold.
I hope this will help those of you who don’t realize just how damaging these toxic molds really are and if you are in a home like ours you find help and get out.
