Toyota to Build Prius in the U.S.
One of the arguments critics play on when it comes to hybrids is the energy used and pollution created by shipping vehicles across the ocean. And in some cases, oceans.
The Camry hybrid was one of few models that could skirt around that, as its made in Kentucky. Now, the Prius will also be made on U.S. soil, in Mississippi.
I’m not sure how I feel about this given recent complaints on Toyota’s treatment of workers. Hopefully more American plants means less opportunity to mistreat people, but there are people complaining that Toyota will change the U.S. autoworker standards for the worse.
What do you all think about this?
