To be honest, I haven’t really been paying much attention to the NNS engines myself – until now at least. I think I heard them talking on NASCAR Now earlier in the year, though, something about how they’d already added extra restrictor plates to the Nationwide engines.

That’s actually a pretty good theory, Bruce … but, the NNS and CTS cars haven’t been running faster laps this year than the Cup cars, have they?

NO.. they need to slow down the lesser series to make sure the Cup series seems to be the premiere faster series.

If you remember early on in the COT racing last year, the Nationwide cars and Truck series trucks were pulling faster laps than the cup COT cars.

I don’t know, Ron … despite the success the team was able to find between May and June, I just don’t really feel like the no. 9 group is complete enough to outlast the other guys in the running this year.
