Treasure Hunt Nintendo DS Style

ImageThe brilliant folk of Japan really know how to spice up their lives with some interesting ideas. The latest craze is a ‘mixed reality’ treasure hunt that was invented by the fine folk of Rush Japan.

Set in the island of Enoshima, ‘Treasure Quest: Enoshima – Treasure of the Dragon’ allows participants to play a Nintendo DS game that leads them around the island searching for clues to a big treasure. The clues are found both ingame and in the real world, making it a very novel way to mix gaming with real life.

Rush Japan is hosting the treasure hunt every day from 10am to 4pm but the fun ends on February 19th. This might be great news for those in the Japan area, but not so exciting for us stuck in different continents.

Let’s hope the idea starts spreading elsewhere. It sounds like a blast.
