As part of the ongoing challenges of my recent computer frustrations, one of the tasks that’s been needed is to find some large files that can be deleted to free up some space on my tiny laptop hard drive (60GB).
My boss found the Tree Size Free application that quickly identifies large files or directories of files and displays the information visually.
As you can see from the screen shot of the main window to the left, you very intuitively can see the files that are the biggest offenders and might holds files that you can get ride of from your system to free up some crucial space.
If you hover over one of the directories a pop-up window lists even more information about the directory and contents.
If you’re interested in what you see you can download and install Tree Size Free from the JAM Software website.
