I added your blog to my subbed feeds. This is the one great thing about Jaiku and Pownce is the ability to form affinity groups. I started an Atlantic Canada twitter list on my blog (right sidebar). However, you like also said, it's fluid with new accounts being created regularly. We've found it has created a localized twitter group for us that we can send relevant messages to each other about local tweet ups, etc. I think being able to have expanded twitter groups functionality is a great idea.
