Twitter is a powerful online tool. This microblogging phenomenon doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. If you want to use Twitter in your marketing campaign, here are five Twitter marketing tips:

1) Grow your community.
If you don’t have a large Twitter following it doesn’t matter how well you market using Twitter. With that in mind, be sure to initially concentrate on growing your Twitter community.

2) Update Frequently
The Twitter world moves in fast-forward. At least one update per day should be the goal.

3) Include Useful Information
Give people a reason to follow your Twitter updates. If you don’t, the interest will soon fade.

4) Keep it Personable
Make sure people realize there’s a person behind the other side of the computer. Don’t make it seem like they are automatically getting fed info from a robot.

5) Consider Twitter Specials
This is a very powerful Twitter marketing tip. If it’s reasonable, include special coupons, gifts or information that is only available via Twitter.
