Ubersoldier Demo and Half Life 2 Episodes

Joy of Joys. Gamespot, being the greatest gaming resource on the intArw3bs evAr has managed to secure the debut of UberSoldier’s demo. OMG!!! We have first dibs on a demo!! HURRAY!! Ugh. Tards. And it’s not even out until tomorrow at 9am. They even have a time for it. HAhah. Here’s the blurb on it. Maybe they’ll give you a real link to the file tomorrow. Assuming their servers aren’t so overwhelmed by demand and they all crash.

While it’s not fresh news, and most gamers know that Half Life 2 will be doing the episode deal because they don’t want us to wait another 6 years for additional storyline. So they’ll give it to us as they go. Kind of a nice idea. Especially when some games can take an extremely long time to make. It also creates demand for the next episode generating that hype that people so love. It’ll be like watching a TV series. You’ll get all excited on Friday night when Battlestar Galactica comes on and you’ll sit down to watch it. Only now, you’ll get all excited for the next Steam released Episode of your game and you’ll sit down at your PC with your credit card in hand to buy it, F5 being hit repeatedly. /shrug. I dunno. You know there are some people like that! While I am excited for more story in the HL universe I cringe to think of the server downtime that’s gonna happen when everyone tries to grab the new episode at once. I think I’ll be able to wait a bit. They’ll get my money. But, damnit, I’ll determine when.
