Dean “Boogeyman” Lister is a fighter bringing an overall record of 111 wins and 12 loses into the octagon although his MMA record sits lower at 9-4-0. Lister was one of the top 16 grapplers in the world and won many tournaments for his martial arts and grappling skills.
Lister went on to become the King of the Cage middleweight champion which he successfully defended several times before losing via decision to Jeremy Horn. After King of the Cage Lister went on to fight in PRIDE where he went 1-2.
“Boogeyman” made his debut at UFC 60: Hughes vs. Gracie where he defeated Alessio Sakara in the first round with a triangle choke. Next Lister went on to beat Yusi Sasaki at UFC Fight Night 6 with a unanimous decision.
Listers obvious strength comes from his grappling and submission strengths. He will be focused on getting his opponent in a vulnerable submission position and taking advantage. His fight against Nate Marquardt will pit two UFC unbeatens with very diverse styles head to head so it should be quite a show.
