Many remember Herring more for his one no contest rather than his 26 wins. In a new years eve fight on December 31, 2005 K-1 opponent Yoshihiro Nakao kissed Herring on the lips causing the fighter to immediately punch him in the head causing Nakao to be knocked out. The fighter eventually had to be carried from the ring on a stretcher. Heath last fought in March of 2006 with a TKO win.
