United Shipping Solutions and USPS Team Up

United Shipping Solutions recently announced that they have formed a partnership with the United States Postal Service. Under terms of the partnership, United Shipping Solutions will sell expedited services for the United States Postal Service. Those expedited services will include flat rate, priority and express products.

Robert Ross of United Shipping Solutions believes that this will be a very powerful partnership.

“We are very excited about this new opportunity with the United States Postal Service… this is an unprecedented partnership in our industry, makes a lot of sense, and should be very successful for both parties,” said Ross. “We believe that our entrepreneurial, sales-driven culture combined with the top-notch USPS service and infrastructure will fill a great need, especially in the small and medium sized shipper segment.”

This move comes as the United States Post Service struggles to profit. With many industry experts blaming email as a big reason why the USPS has struggled more and more in recent years, this sort of moves makes a lot of sense. It should allow the USPS to cut overhead and focus their concentration. For United Shipping Solutions, this makes them a powerful company in the industry.
