You might be having a lot of questions on the upgrade process of Windows 7, and an upgrade chart was created and posted over at Allthingsd where it lists the following operating system you would be upgrading Windows 7 from:

1. Windows XP

2. Windows Vista Starter

3. Windows Vista Home Basic

4. Windows Vista Home Premium

5. Windows Vista Business

6. Windows Vista Ultimate

The noticeable item on the chart is the the number of custom installs you need for most of the upgrades which means it’s not much of an upgrade but a re-install.

Anyways, go ahead and use the chart for your reference here – Windows 7 upgrade chart.
