The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) elected a new chairman this week to replace out-going Chairman Peter Ueberroth. Taking the held of the USOC will be Lawrence (Larry) Probst, 58 the chairman of Electronic Arts (EA), a world leader in developing and publishing electronic entertainment and computer games. Probst will serve a four-year term beginning immediately.
Ueberroth will continue his service to the USOC as President in an honorary capacity–a non-voting, non-Board member position that will last for two years. His new role will also focus primarily on the USOC’s partnership with Chicago 2016 and bringing the Olympic and Paralympic Games back to the United States.
