US Paralympian Melissa Stockwell

Melissa Stockwell lost her left leg after she was injured by an IED while serving in the Army in Iraq in 2004. She hasn’t let that slow her down. Since then, she’s competed with able-bodied athletes in various triathlons and will be swimming at the Beijing Paralympic Games in the 400m freestyle and 400m butterfly events.
