US Rowing announced its Olympic team on Friday and will send 13 crews to Beijing. Among the 45 athletes are ten returning Olympic contenders. Two, Paul Teti and Bryan Volpenhein (picture above), will be competing in their third Olympic Games.
The team was determined in part through a selection camp and in part by trials held June 9-13.

My nephew Marcus McElhenney is in Bejing right now. He was picked to be the coxswain for the 8 man boat. Not only is he talented, cute, (part of a great family), intelligent but dedicated to his sport. Best of luck to all our Olympians, GO USA!!!
Our son, Adrian r. King, Jr., rowed for Saint Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. He rowed at Columbia University too. He competed at Henley. He went to eastern Europe……….Germany. This was in the 80’s. He trained at Princeton one summer. Rowing is a wonderful sport. It helps young people focus. Our son was rowing in the 80’s.
Go team, Beijing!
