USB 3.0 for Video Streaming

Reports and news has been on-going for quite sometime that the USB 3.0 is expected to ship out before the end of 2009 from Taiwanese manufacturers.
USB 3.0 is also dubbed as SuperSpeed Universal Serial Bus (USB), and is the next generation of USB interface. The conference held in Tokyo last May 20-21, 2009 indicates that USB 3.0 is full speed ahead and computers would carry this new interface.
What does faster USB mean? Faster file transfer? One of the things industry is expecting is the proliferation of Video streaming since the USB 3.0 is capable of streaming 1080i HD video streams from a camera to say a netbook. Today, this setup is already being used in USB 2.0 but a way, way faster USB interface could see an explosion on real-time video streaming.
Portable terra byte sized hard disk is being adapted by manufacturers and I would surely use the USB 3.0 alongside a terra byte portable storage with a smile.
