Using Brand Sponsorship For Events

If you have a major upcoming event, have you thought about opening the event up to brand sponsorship. Brand sponsorship is when you allow businesses to purchase ads or underwrite the cost for event components such as dinners or registration.

  • As you develop a list of potential event sponsors, make sure you determine your needs first.
  • Look at your event and see what areas you could allow event sponsors underwrite the cost.
  • Determine if you want to partner with other organizations or businesses to manage your event.
  • Develop a registration process that you could possibly monetize with event sponsors.

Getting an event sponsored is like selling any other sort of advertising. The prospective sponsor needs to feel that the opportunity you’re presenting is the highest and best use of their limited resources.   1. Believe it or not, event planning is probably one of the hardest things I’ve attempted to conquer (at least conquer well). Your steps are good ones, but I would have liked to see more detail. This is a good start though.
