Using Remote Deposit for Business Checks

Many businesses regularly receive checks as payment for products and services. However, it can be time-consuming to go to the bank, and it may not be possible to visit the bank after business hours. In order to get around some of these issues, it is often possible to use remote check deposit .

2496912155_6c805de065Remote check deposit makes use of a special scanner to take images of the front and back of each check run through. You can then send the images directly to your bank. The bank can then deposit the money into your bank account , without ever actually having the physical check. It is important, though, to make sure that you properly store or dispose of the checks once they have been deposited.

You will have to weigh the costs and benefits of this program, though. Some banks charge monthly fees and transaction charges to process remote deposit checks . You will have to determine whether the savings in time and money are worth the costs that come with the service.
