Vacation!! Ever Consider A Mini Vacation?

I’m back from vacation and I thought for the next couple of days, I would continue my series on vacations. I actually believe that taking a vacation can be healthy. Given our challenging times, getting away for a week or so may not be possible. Ever consider a mini vacation?

A mini vacation can be anything from visiting the local 7-11 in your neighborhood and having a chocolate treat or cup of your favorite coffee. Mini vacations are creativity in motion. What do you enjoy doing that feels like a vacation? For some, going for a relaxing walk on the beach could be a mini vacation. Or just sitting on the side of your pool with your feet playing in the water.

Mini vacations are not limited to the number of days or hours in your vacation bucket. They are also not limited a specific day or time. You can take a vacation at any time of the day or night, it is completely up to you. A vacation by definition is a an intermission or break from activity for recreation. How about the military definition – a health and welfare break. Which ever definition you choose, a mini vacation is all about you doing something for yourself.

Here are some Mini Vacation Ideas:

1. Go for a walk – You pick the place and time

2. Go on a picnic

3. Go for a hike

4. Stop in the middle of your day and listen to your favorite song

5. Take time to read a book and relax

6. Enjoy your favorite snack

7. Go shopping – Not for everyone, but an option for shoppers

8. Go find a funnel cake and enjoy!

9. Go get an ice cream cone

10. Take a quiet break – a moment to be quiet
