Vacation!! Your Accountability For Fun

Did you know that you are accountable for whether you stop working long enough to have some fun while you are on vacation? I have a hard time shutting down and putting the work down and unplugging. Fun is FUN if I will just stop working long enough to enjoy it. I am actually preaching to myself as I write this to you. It has been fun for me over the last 24 hours of my vacation. Last night I spent the night or morning depending on how you look at a slumber party, hanging out with 6 little girls at a Hannah Montana sleepover. From there, today, I had a friend take me on a Purple Day.

We spent the afternoon reviewing one of my favorite subjects: PURPLE. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know about the color PURPLE! What a great time I had learning about PURPLE Stuff!

Purple may not be fun for you, however, I will share the trivia I learned today. When you go on vacation, you might want to consider doing some research on one of your favorite subjects. Take at look at the research a friend of mine did in her quest to check out my knowledge on my favorite color:

There is so much more we discussed this afternoon about the color purple. The entire afternoon was planned for me by a friend and it was fun. The best part of the afternoon today was my gift. She gave the book the Purple Cow by Seth Godin. Yippee!! I never heard of the book today, however my passion for Purple began 16 years ago with the purchase of a purple cow. I still have the purple cow. To my amazement there is a book called the Purple Cow. Love it!! When you go on vacation, I dare you to take responsibility for ensuring that FUN is on the agenda. You may not need a Purple Day!! But it works for me. I actually have homework. I want to read my book, and spend some time learning trivia that I may never use again in my effort to enjoy the color Purple. I am done for now! More on my series on Vacation tomorrow.
