Vegas Baby! Eye Candy Everywhere

As I frantically prepare to hit Vegas for Blog World Expo, I’m starting to get my nightlife ducks in a row. One of the spots that I’ve got on our list is Eye Candy at Mandalay Bay. I loved this place, and I will be encouraging all the social media geeks in town to go as well.
The part of me that is a cocktail writer loved the drinks. They’re absolutely gorgeous, and sooooo yummy! The tech geek in me loved the sound stations and interactive tables, and of course, the place really is pure Eye Candy.
The dance floor lights up and is interactive – the lights below are pressure sensitive and change when you walk on them. The three tables you see in front are the sound stations where on select nights, you can have DJ battles. Plug your ipod into the table, choose your song and let the crowd vote. It’s like crowd sourcing taken to a new level.
The bottle service tables have gauzy white curtains that come down around them – they seat up to 10 – and have the coolest interactive tables you’ve seen. The social media geeks from Blog World Expo coming back with me on Thursday night are going to LOVE them) The tables not only talk to the other tables in the room but they project images onto the big screens above the dance floor and do all sorts of fun things. And you’re encouraged to dance on them, so they’re recalibrated every morning.
My favourite drink was the Anti-Oxidant and the signature Eye Candy (pictured). So freakin’ good. The drinks at Eye Candy were created especially for the lounge by Master Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim.
I, personally, can’t wait to go back. There’s no cover charge, and you can get reservations by calling (702) 632-7777 and you can get one of the wicked cool tables for about $300 to start.

See you in Vegas, bay-bee
Hey, looks like I’ll finally get to meet you! See you in LV.
