Venezuelan President Chavez Expropriates Caracas Mall
Dictator Says, ‘Omigod! Like, Conspicuous Consumption Is, Like, Sooo Last Year’
Venezuelan President and pastel-wearing dictator Hugo Chavez announced he was nationalizing a Caracas mall saying, “It’s, like, sooo about time I did something like this. You know, I haven’t, like, nationalized anything in like a month.”
Chavez was said to have been upset that he wasn’t able to get his usual “dictator’s discount” at Abercrombie & Fitch and had to park over six rows from the mall’s main entrance.
Things didn’t get any better later in the shopping trip.
“Do you, like, even know like who I am?” Chavez was overheard shouting at a disinterested clerk at the T-Mobile kiosk as he tried to change his calling plan to include unlimited texting.
Getting no satisfaction, the dictator vowed to close down the mall and post Photoshopped pictures of the T-Mobile girl on his MySpace page.
